Kristy + Jimmy Sunset Shoot | Cancun Mexico

I few more from the pre-wedding shoot. What can I say, awesome couple, beautiful backdrop, amazing weather, can’t ask for more.

Kristy + Jimmy Pre-Wedding Shoot | Cancun Mexico

Kristy and Jimmy love traveling, partying, and definitely having fun. They started dating during a trip to Cancun and Jimmy proposed in Hawaii Waikiki beach. So it was an obvious choice for them to do a destination wedding. They picked Cancun Mexico to be the place to celebrate their union. Check out the website that Jimmy created to document their love. Here is a preview of the pre-wedding shoot we did the day before the EPIC wedding. More on that later.

I am very glad that Brent Matsuno from Berwick Suburbs came and shot this awesome wedding with me.

Marin + Nathan Wedding | Our Lady of Lourdes Sunland

I am so happy to share Marin and Nathan’s wedding at Our Lady of Lourdes Sunland. This wedding was very special: they both flew in all the way from Texas, at home reception with close family, UCLA ACA lion dance, tons of emotion and a very affectionate couple. What a great day!

Thanks Nevin Wong for coming out to assist.

CAIFPA 25th Gala Celebration

This past weekend, I was very privileged to shoot a very large company event in Pacific Palms Conference Resort for CAIFPA, California Asian Insurance and Financial Professional Association. The gala was quite a ride, the event had over 500 attendees, the day started off in the afternoon with workshops for professionals in the insurance and financial industry. There are also booths from different companies in the industry to present their latest and greatest offerings. Later in the afternoon, we got a photo booth setup, and the guest were so happy to get the prints right away.

The gala was activities packed, as the night goes by, we had lion dance, dance competition, slide show, speeches and lucky draw.

Special thanks to Grace for inviting me to the event and Mak for manning the photo booth.

Whale Watching with Davey’s Locker

Last week, I went on a whale watching cruise with my son and his preschool classmates. The weather was sort of nice, its quite warm and sunny, but out in the ocean, it occasionally gets a little windy.

As most of you who had experience in whale watching excursion, usually most of the time is more like water watching, of course its no exception for us too. It took awhile before we found a gray whale near the shore outside the Newport Harbor’s entrance. The whale was very close to the shore, and she was hiding mostly in the water, and just peeped out the water a few times.

After a not so successful encounter with the gray whale, we cruised further out towards the ocean and there all the fun starts. There are 30+ dolphins swimming around the boat, some are even a few feet away. Besides whales and dolphins, we also saw a lot of harbor seals and marine birds. For the first whale watching field trip for both me and my son, it was quite a fun trip. Hope my wife can join us again next time when she’s not sick.
